The EIC Partnership have joined the UKTI Trade Delegation to Shanghai EXPO 2010 and Beijing to discuss the development of the Greater Manchester Smartgrid Project.

The trip is being supported by UKTI Northwest and will include extensive meetings with smartgrid technology companies, grid energy suppliers and regional representives to develop an international dialogue about the delivery of similar projects in China with the assistance of the China Energy Council.

The overarching theme of Expo 2010 http://en.expo2010.cn/ is Better City Better Life and features exhibitors and attendees from all over the world, discussing developments in ICT, energy, sustainability and related issues facing the urban environments of today and the future.

EIPC will represent the innovation being demonstrated in the Greater Manchester region and work hard to develop ties with potential partners, collaborators and suppliers to assist the development of the future energy system which smartgrid innovation offers.
