Our Partners

The Horizon Energy Cooperative is currently developing a three year pilot scheme with a small group of Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) and Arms Length Management Organisations (ALMOs).

Proposed founder partners currently working together to develop the potential EU funded microgrid trial include:

- Stockport Homes
- Guinness Northern Counties Housing Association
- Six Town Housing
- Rochdale Boroughwide Housing

To deliver the required methodology, project delivery partners and to understand the outputs, Horizon Energy Cooperative is currently engaging with DECC, OFGEM, Energy Savings Trust, National Housing Federation, AGMA, NWDA, GM Procure, ENW, Pannone LLP, Sharp, Solar Century, Schuco, Co Operative Financial Services, the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, the National Home Improvement Council, the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and the University of Southampton STaR facility.

The EIC Partnership is currently engaged in delivering all potential interested parties to the proposed Board of the HEC to develop the project timelines and specifications.

Invitations for participation or support for the project have also been made to British Gas, EDF Energy, n-Power, Scottish and Southern Energy, E.on, Siemens, Sun Edison, National Energy Action, CLG, Oldham Council, David Kidney MP, Peel Energy.
